No data visible from Business scenario at space.me

Hello all,

 

we worked on the developer Guideline and created a scenarion (was imported from SAP BPM). The table content is replicated at OPINT database, when we create Event at BPM System.

 

BScenario is generated with no Errors.

 

The package roles (generated artifacts) are granted to the user, but when opening space.me, we only can see the Business Scenario, but only with Default Content. No Special indicators, no checklists... and space.me shows "no data".

 

Do we have missed something?

IDT Rel Conn why no create HANA database connection

hi all

 

for some reason, I cannot create a relational connection in the IDT when I go to

File->New->Relational Connection->SAP->SAP HANA Database 1.0->ODBC Drivers

 

there is no Data Source Name available for selection, HOWEVER

 

if I go to

File->New->Relational Connection->Generic->Generic ODBC Datasource->ODBC Drivers

 

this picks up my 32bit DSN without any problems

 

what is the difference ?

Error with an infopackage in a process chain

Hi experts,

 

I have a process chain which failed because of an infopackage error. It's a full infopackage.

The error that i got is : error occured in the datas alection.

I tried to run this data source in RSA3 (source system), everything seems to be fine.

 

Does someone faced this error before?

We have recently installed Personas and our ECC is current Kernel 7.42  Support pack 7.4  level 11. But I don't see the Personas node in IMG. Is there anything we are missing?

Help with parameters when using a sql command based report in Crystal Reports 2008.

I have not used crystal reports since version 8.5 and now I am back at it.  I am using Crystal Reports 2008 and am not using it in SAP.  I have created a report or open orders using SQL and have 2 parameters that I am passing in for a date range that is working great. I need 2 more parameters, but not sure how to get them to work. I am wanting the user to be able to choose from the ordered_by column and they need to be able to choose more than one, but also with the option of leaving it blank for all or selecting 'ALL' to get all.  I have the same issue with the order_type, once again would like to list the order types to choose from and allow the user to select more than one or leave it blank for all or select 'ALL' to get all. I do not want a static list, I would prefer to show a list of only the values that are within the date range that was selected.  I have tried building dynamic lists pointing to the ordered_by column in the sql command, but all I get is a single blank line to manually type something in.  I tried building this same report using the tables instead of sql, but the report runs pretty slow and still having trouble with the dynamic lists.I have looked online for documentation, videos and not really finding anything like what I am dealing with.  I have looked at the document "How to work with Crystal Reports in SAP Business One", but once again I am not using it in SAP, so a lot of the items that looked like they would help are not possible. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated (especially visuals, screenshots, videos, etc.)

SAP LDAP connection

Hi,

 

I'm configuring the LDAP connection between SAP ECC and the Microsoft windows AD. I've created the RFC , the server and saved the system user.

 

If i try to connect to the AD directly with the user, I can connect but when i try to do it from SAP i have this error:

 

 

 

 

I can't find any other error .

 

Could someone help me ?

Excel Testing with S&OP 3.0.2.3 and BI Analysis 1.4.10.3290

Hi Team,

 

We are testing excel functionality with S&OP Excel add-in version 3.0.2.3 and BI Analysis Add-In Version 1.4.10.3290. We are still gathering test results but in the meantime has anyone done such a testing earlier? If yes, please share your experience.

 

S&OP installed with BPC EPM seems to work fine.

RFC to JDBC scenario

Dear Experts,

 

I have scenario from RFC to JDBC.

 

How can i build this interface? ,

 

Once we run a SQL query from PI(Ex: date )  once we sent an date it will trigger through PI to JDBC, Next  given date data should reach to ECC through PI.

 

And later once we click on post data button in ECC  same data should pass to database through PI.

 

How can I build this interface, Can you please help me done this.

 

Is this required to use BPM for this?

SAP GUI 7.30 Requirements For Windows XP

Dear Masters,

 

We want to upgrade SAP GUI in our PC's client from 7.10 into 7.30 Patch Level 14. Due to PC in our client still has many PC's with Windows XP, we decide to upgrade into 7.30 version (7.40 is incompatible with Windows XP). I fully aware that the 7.30 version is already end of support and I already rased a message to SAP and they didn't want to answer my question related to this case.

 

My questions, what minimum Windows XP Service Pack (SP) required to install the SAP GUI 7.30? Does it have depedencies with Home or Pro version?

FICO Recon issue at S_ALR_87013603

HI Friends

 

I have posted FI document to hit PnL with Cost center assignment.

 

System created both FI and CO documents correct and as expected.

 

When I run Cost center line item report, it shows my posting for that cost center, FI document is also showing up in GL balance report. but when I run the S_ALR_87013603 to ensure FI and CO ties out, I can see only FI entry and CO line is completely blank and does not show anything.

 

I would appreciate your help on this.

Code to identify duplicate entries in an internal table

Hi Gurus,

 

Please advise on this. The following is my scenario,

 

In my select statement i select all records where DATETO = 12/31/9999, therefore we can have more than 1 entry for the same material in the internal table satisfying this date criterion as below.

mat01       12/31/9999             02/12/2012                                      x8

 

 

If a material like mat01 above has more than 1 entry in the internal table, I would like to find it and then populate a flag = X if more than 1 entry is found. Kindly request you to please help me with this.

Down payment for a PO which has an Order as account assigned object

Hi All,

 

I recently faced an issue while making payment for a PO which was account assigned with a Plant maintenance order.

System requested for maintaining a Cost Element for Down payment expense.

 

I checked several discussions and responses, all talked about what is the solution i.e. maintain the cost element as its just for information.

Also, some referred to a SAP note which tells about a code change needed to switch off the behavior.

 

However, my question is around:

a) What if I maintain the cost element, I assume this item will appear in the line item report for my order in CO and will be used in periodic settlement?

c) Also, what do if I do not want the item to appear as expense for my order and need not be settled? Is code change the only option?

b) Why would SAP default such a config rather than providing an option available for configuration?

Log_Segments in Truncated State

We have been playing with backing agent to enable backups for third party tool. We had some errors and had to disable automatic log backup. and Log Mode to over write. I just realized that log segments are being filled and its close to 91% now. I checked the status of Log Segments using view M_LOG_SEGMENTS and see that all the Log segments have state "Truncated".

 

Also when I run the following SQL to check the count of Log Segments

 

select b.host, b.service_name, a.state, count(*) from "PUBLIC"."M_LOG_SEGMENTS" a join "PUBLIC"."M_SERVICES" b on (a.host = b.host AND a.port = b.port) group by b.host, b.service_name, a.state;


It shows 563 Count for Truncated and 1 for writing on each node. The current setting for log mode is overwrite and auto log back is disabled. I read somewhere we need to restart the system to free up the log segments.


Do we have any other solution to free up log segments without bouncing the server.

GRC 10 Custom Agent Rule not working

Does anyone know what we are missing?

 

Created BRF-Plus Agent Rule for our role approvers, in BRF-Plus we are able to simulate our Rule and get the correct UserID approvers but when we add this Agent Rule into the workflow, when the request enters this stage the request just stops.  Without errors.    There is no error, (not even an error for No Approver found)  the request just stops without any error listed in the Audit Log.  The request cannot be opened even in Administrative mode.  

 

Since the Agent Rule simulation is working, we think there is an issue with adding this Agent Rule into the workflow.    When our Agent Rule was failing simulation we did get an Approver Not Found error message on the workflow.  Now there is no Approver Not Found message but no approver can enter this request when it enters this stage.

 

Here is our Agent Rule

·         Business Process from Request, Functional Area from Request, System and Role from  line

·         We have our role approver listed as UserID and Recipent

 

Any idea what we might have missed? 

 

2: Maintain Rules

We added the Rule ID (long number of Function), Rule Description, Rule Type as BRFPlus Flat Rule (line by line), Agent Rule

 

3: Maintain Agent

We added this with an Agent ID, Agent Name, Agent Type: GRC API Rules, Agent Purpose: Approval, Agent Rule (that long number of Function)

 

5: Maintain Path

This agent rule is in the second stage for a path.  (The request enters the path and passes through first stage Manager fine so Initiator  and Routing Rules are fine.)

The Agent ID is showing up in the Agent ID column.  Every column that the first stage has filled out, has something on this stage.  Therefore we assume nothing is missing from the stage set up.

 

RF Navigation from custom RF to standard RF screen

Hi All,

 

I have scenario where we have 2 custom RF screen following up with standard picking screen.

Case 1 : 1 custom screen - Pick by production order

              2 custom screen - list open WO against the production order ( user to select WO by his own)

              3 standard pick screen : based on 2nd custom screen WO selection it should populate & navigate to standard pick screen ( pick by WO screens) and complete the WT with it .

Case 2: Once all WT within the WO completed it should navigate back to custom RF screens.

 

Is this possible in SAP EWM RF?

Please let me know your suggestions.

Displaying records of custom ztable on screeen

Hi All,

 

I have generated an alv report for the custom ztable. when i double click on a record it should lead to next screen and that particular record should be shown.

 

I have added the fields on the screen for displaying the single record. I have added using the dictionary option from the screen. But i was not able to assign the value to these fields. As it is custom database table, i cant uses tables statement (TABLES ztable). I tried to assign to the corresponding fields like:

READ TABLE itab INTO wa_3 INDEX es_row_no-row_id.   Ztable-Kunnr = wa_3-Kunnr.   Ztable-STCEG = wa_3-STCEG.   call SCREEN 3000.

But the problem is i am getting error saying "statement ZTABLE_KUNNR is not defined".

 

Please let me know how to assign the values to the screen fields. The screen field technical names(Ztable field name) are Kunnr and Stceg etc.

PB Classic 12.5.2 Web Services DW, how to return a validation error?

Visual Studio 2013, .NET 4.5, C# WCF web services

 

 

Can anyone point me to how to code the web services side of things so I can return a validation error from web services (we are using C# .NET 4.5 WCF for Web Services) to a web services datawindow .Update statement. Ideally I'd like .Update to return -1 and not update the datawindow row statuses if there was a validation error.

 

The reason I am asking is this:

 

I have a web services datawindow, it retrieves and updates wonderfully. Now I add some logic in the web services to validate the incoming data. If some data is invalid I want the update to fail and the user to see a message.

 

To handle the above scenario I am calling a SOAP Fault in the web services and returning a nice message. Catching it in WSError and handling it in a nice manner. All seemed fine EXCEPT, after I get the error message I fix the problem in the data by setting another column from, for example, A to null, because that would then make the first column valid. What then happens is if I look at the primary buffer of the datawindow just before the .Update is called is has null in it as expected, but if I look at the XML incoming to the web services it has A in it!!!! This only seems to happen if a SOAP Fault was thrown first. Otherwise null is sent as expected.

 

I have checked, all columns are marked as nullable in both the datawindow definition and the web services, and the datatypes in the web services are nullable datatypes. Saving with null works just fine as longs as, I think, an exception wasn't thrown already. It only seems to be a problem with nulls.

 

So it has left me with a number of pressing questions:

 

1. Am I just handling validation wrong, and should not be throwing a SOAP fault? If so, what is the normal way of handling these things?

2. Is this a bug in PB (installing 12.6 + latest EBF as I type)

3. Am I going even more crazy than I already was before I started this project?

 

If anyone has any input / ideas it would be welcome. Thank you.
